| Canadian Pacific Railway | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The Canadian Pacific Railway introduced it's lightweight design of coaches in 1936. The cars were designed for high speed long distance intercity service across Canada and were often hauled by a well turned out Royal Hudson 4-6-4 locomotive. These cars differed from most North American designs because they had smooth curved sides. This distinctive design was seen over most of the Canadian Pacific Railway main line from their introduction through to them being sold to several other railways in the 1970's. Many still run on active and preserved railways in Canada, the United States and Mexico. The Canadian Pacific Railway range of cars in 1/32nd scale is ideally suited to run behind the new Accucraft CPR Royal Hudson. Like the originals they are designed for comfort at all speeds and longevity. All cars are fitted with Gary Raymond insulated steel wheels finished in black and Kadee couplers. All handrails are stainless steel. The overall length of each car is a scale 83'- 10 1/2" (31.5") Each car weighs approx 5lbs. (weight is different for each type.) Liveries are available in Tuscan Red and others to suit the Accucraft Royal Hudson range. A DVD is available of our CPR Lightweight Cars being hauled by the new and impressive Accucraft Royal Hudson.
